pumpkin spice latte coffee creamer

If you love pumpkin spice as much as we do, you definitely need to make this easy pumpkin spice coffee creamer recipe. It is so good and much better for you than store-bought creamer! This one has a lot more flavor and texture too. The texture is almost like a silky creme brulee on top of your coffee. So good!

Plus, unlike store-bought versions (which are often full of additives), this recipe only contains natural ingredients like spices, pumpkin puree, and milk!

Inspired by our 100% plant based Ginger Pumpkin scent, this pumpkin creamer is super simple to make and comes together in just 15 minutes!

What you'll need:

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup or honey

  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves (or allspice)

(You can substitute the above spices for 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice)

  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger

The best part is that you can adjust the ingredients to make it as sweet or as spicy as you like. I’ve made this recipe with half-and-half, whole milk and even 1% milk.

Why your pumpkin needs ginger.

What can we say about ground ginger? It's the perfect addition to this recipe. The taste is strong and complex, but you don't need much of it for a bold flavor. Just a little bit goes a long way! Ground ginger is also a great source of vitamin B6 and manganese, which are super helpful in fighting off colds or other illnesses that may be going around during the fall and winter months.

How to make it

  1. First combine the cream, maple syrup or honey, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Whisk together thoroughly using a hand mixer on medium speed, or a hand frother.
  2. Then add in the spices, ginger, and pumpkin puree and whisk again.
  3. Transfer the liquid mixture to a medium saucepan and begin to heat slowly over medium heat. Make sure you are continually whisking.
  4. When the mixture is hot and steaming (but not boiling), remove it from heat.
  5. Continue to whisk occasionally until it’s completely cooled, to prevent a skin from forming on top of the mixture.
  6. When at room temperature, store for later use.

You'll never go back to store-bought coffee creamer once you try this DIY version!

You’re going to love this recipe because it’s so easy to make, and you can customize it based on your own tastes. You'll also save money by making your own creamer at home instead of buying a jar from the store. This recipe uses less sugar than most store-bought versions, so it’s healthier too!

And last but not least – best of all – your coffee will taste better than ever before!

So there you have it: a simple recipe for the best DIY Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer. Now that’s something to be thankful for!
